Beans a La Basque
Ingredients
1 x 240gm tin tomatoes pureed
500gm green beans sliced
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon sugar
1 ½ teaspoon oregano
1 Large onion chopped
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
1 cup water
4 cloves garlic crushed
Heat oil and butter in saucepan add onion and garlic cover and simmer for about 10 minutes or until soft. Add the rest of the ingredients simmer with lid on for about 60 minutes. Serve hot or cold
