Beef Casserole

Ingredients

1.5Kg Steak cut into cubes

4 brown onions cut into quarters

5 Carrots peeled and cut into pieces

3 Celery stalks cut into pieces

2 Teaspoon Paprika

1 Tin Tomatoes (440gm) mashed

2 Teaspoon Tomato Puree

2 Bay Leaf

1 Teaspoon salt

1 Teaspoon Ground Pepper

3 cups Beef Stock (2 stock cubes)

¼ cup Oil

2 Parsnips peeled and cubed

25gm butter

1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce

Brown meat in pan with oil. Set aside. Sauté onion Carrot and Celery. Add Tomatoes, salt, pepper, Paprika, Tomato puree, stock and Bay Leaf. Bring to boil. Add meat, cover and simmer on low heat for 1 ½ to 2 hours. Stir occasionally. When finished if watery add 2 tablespoons corn flour that has been mixed with ¼ cup water. Stir until thickened
