Sausage Rolls

Ingredients

1Kg Sausage Mince

1 large onion minced

1 teaspoon mixed herbs

6 thick slices of white bread

salt & pepper to taste

12 sheets puff pastry

1 egg beaten with a little milk

 

Method

Put sausage mince, onion, herbs, salt, pepper into bowl. Cut crusts from bread place in bowl, pour over enough warm water to cover, let bread stand for 5 minutes. Drain off water squeeze bread gently to extract water. Add to sausage mixture and mix well. Cut Pastry sheets in half place approx 3 or 4 dessertspoons of mixture on each sheet then roll up. Cut rolled piece into desired lengths. I choose five. Brush with combined egg and milk mixture. Bake in 180 oven for 20 – 30 minutes
