140gm Butter
1 cup rolled Oats
2 Tablespoon Golden Syrup
¾ cup Desiccated Coconut
4 Tablespoons Boiling Water
1 cup Plain Flour
1 ½ Teaspoons Bicarb Soda
1 cup sugar
Melt butter and golden syrup over gentle heat. Add boiling water and bicarbonate of soda. Pour into mixed dried ingredients, blend well. Drop teaspoonfuls of mixture onto greased tray. Bake in a slow oven 140C for 15 – 20 minutes. Cool on trays for a few minutes, remove and store in airtight container when cool. Makes about 40.
